Artwork Specifications for Doming
At Dometag Brand Labels, we appreciate a great design and we love to make it look even more appealing with our state of the art doming process. Hence, here are a few recommendations for the artwork that you send us to create Domed Labels.
We prefer that you send the artwork in vector format. This allows for scaling and also the added benefit of getting an accurate color match for your artwork. The preferred vector formats are Adobe Illustrator (.ai) and Encapsulated Postscript (.eps) files.
Additionally, if you are sending us a vector file and you are using some unique Typeface(Font), we recommend that you send us the artwork with the Type converted to outlines.
If you know what colors you used in your artwork, we appreciate that you provide a close match Pantone Solid Coated color for that. If you don’t know the exact color, don’t worry we will try to find the closest Pantone color and share it with you when we send you a design approval.
You can also look at a Pantone color swatch in a paint or hardware store and provided us with the Pantone numbers that best suit your project.
Note: We only match Pantone colors for vector artwork. Bitmap/Raster artwork is printed as is.
If you are sending a Bitmap image file, please ensure that it it at least 150 dpi, we prefer 300 dpi. This would ensure a good quality print for your Domed Label.
Important Tips if you are using Silver Substrate
Decide which areas you want to have a luminescent glow, i.e. the silver shows partially through the artwork in your domed labels and what areas you would like to be opaque. Also if there are certain areas which you just want to be transparent and allow the silver substrate to show completely on the label, feel free to point them to our representatives.
