Doming Material
Clear, flexible, polyurethane doming material is designed to dent and rebound instead of scratching. DomeTag Brand Labels are produced using 100% solvent-free urethane with a durometer of 45-50 Shore-D. Doming thickness can be controlled from 50-90 mils ±10 mils. Mercury-free and RoHS compliant doming material available upon request.
Operating temperature: -40° F to +140° F (-40° C to +60° C). No effect from several hours exposure at 300° F (149° C). No effect from split-second exposure to direct flame from propane torch. Sustained exposure to direct flame (1500° F/ 816° C) will liquefy the doming material, but avoids holding a flame unless exposed to continuous extreme temperature.
Outdoors: It has been laboratory tested to withstand the equivalent of three years of Florida sunlight in a salt-water mist without any shrinkage, yellowing, or deterioration. Passed 1,500 hours QUV exposure. Passed 1,500 hours Xenon Arc Weatherometer at 2,900 kj/m2. Passed 113,000 Langleys - Outdoor Florida Weathering (exposure to direct weather 5° from horizontal facing South).
Chemical Resistance: no effect from fresh or salt water; no effect from moderate to weak acids and alkali; no effect from alcohols (e.g. methanol); glycols and glycol ethers (e.g. ethylene glycol) acceptable, but some swelling may occur; aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons (e.g. benzene and toluene) may cause some loss of gloss and swelling; keytones, esters, and chlorinated hydrocarbons may cause some loss of gloss and swelling.

Graphics
Four-Color, Colorfast Imaging Inks: We print in full color with nearly photographic quality (comparable to the printing in a color magazine) to maximize your creative possibilities. Our print quality is so superior that we can print blended colors, photographs, or even natural backgrounds like imitation wood veneer. Our inks are colorfast to avoid fading, even after the equivalent of three years of Florida sunlight.

Substrates
White Substrate Your image is printed on light-stable, 2 mil thick, white substrate. This is a top-coated, digitally printable, white polyester film, coated with 2 mil Elephant Snot, a permanent, pressure-sensitive, acrylic adhesive. This construction is backed with an ultra-smooth, clear, 4 mil polyester, release liner. The temperature service range is -40° F to 302° F (-40° C to 150° C). The minimum application temperature is 50° F (10° C).
Bright Silver Substrate Your image is printed on light-stable, 2 mil thick, silver substrate. This is a top-coated, digitally printable, metallized, silver, polypropylene film, coated with 2 mil Elephant Snot, a permanent, pressure-sensitive, acrylic adhesive. This construction is backed with an ultra-smooth, clear, 4 mil polyester, release liner. The temperature service range is -40° F to 176° F (-40° C to 80° C). The minimum application temperature is 50° F (10° C).
Clear Substrate Your image is printed on light-stable, 1 mil thick, clear substrate. This is a top-coated, digitally printable, clear, polyester film, coated with 2 mil Elephant Snot, a permanent, pressure-sensitive, acrylic adhesive. This construction is backed with a ninety-pound lay-flat release liner. The temperature service range is -50° F to 250° F (-46° C to 121° C). The minimum application temperature is 55° F (13° C).

Adhesives
Elephant Snot Our most popular adhesive, Elephant Snot, is a permanent, pressure-sensitive, acrylic adhesive that bonds great to metal, plastic, glass, and other smooth or lightly textured surfaces. This adhesive will increase its bond over time and actually "cure" to the bonding surface. It is specifically designed for DomeTag™ applications. We recommend this 2-mil adhesive for most surfaces. Let us know if you have a unique application. We recommend using the minimum possible adhesive thickness. If the adhesive is too thick, it causes a gap underneath the DomeTag™ that invites dust and dirt to slowly wedge the DomeTag™ off the surface it is mounted to. Elephant Snot adhesive is best when used within two years of production. It should be stored at 70° F (21° C) and 50% relative humidity. DomeTag brand labels should be applied at room temperature with a minimum application temperature of 50° F (10° C). Additional heat during application will help the adhesive flow to the bonding surface. Once the DomeTag is attached, the adhesive has a service temperature range of -40° F to 302° F (-40° C to 150° C).
Custom adhesives DomeTag has a wide variety of adhesives, including 3M™ brand adhesives.
Textile Adhesives DomeTag has special adhesives for bonding to textiles with either a proprietary hot-melt adhesive or a pressure-sensitive rubber/acrylic combination fiber adhesive
